On the occasion of the ten-year exhibition in Paris in the fall, our reporter interviewed Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt (France) Co., Ltd.
"China Textile": The exhibition in Paris in the past has gone through ten years. How do you evaluate this exhibition?
Mr.Scherpe: In 2007, the China Trade Promotion Council Textile Industry Branch cooperated with Messe Frankfurt (France) Co., Ltd. to establish the “China Textile and Apparel Trade Fair (Europe)†(CTAF). In 2011, it jointly created “Apparel Sourcingâ€. "The exhibition, CTAF was embedded in the "Apparel Sourcing" exhibition as a Chinese pavilion.
Messe Frankfurt (France) Co., Ltd. has cooperated with the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade for 10 years. One of the main achievements we achieved was the successful creation of the Paris Exhibition in Autumn. At the exhibition, Chinese exhibitors provided meticulous services and diverse choices, and the technical level continued to improve, prompting the exhibition to become the leading professional international clothing procurement exhibition in the European market.
"China Textile": What kind of efforts have you and your colleagues made for the growth of the Paris show in autumn?
Mr.Scherpe: We always believe that professional buyers are crucial. Satisfying buyers is the success of the show. Our exhibitors come from dozens of countries and regions around the world, and our products cover the entire range of fashion and are reasonably priced. These are all we can offer to professional buyers. Our international team is working hard to understand the needs of buyers and provide buyers with more international and diverse choices.
In addition, from the beginning of the exhibition, we have worked hard to create a comfortable purchasing environment, so that buyers can clearly find the products they need, and conduct surveys on the procurement needs of exhibitors, and collect information for each step of the exhibition. .
"China Textile": What advantages do you think of the Autumn Paris Exhibition?
Mr.Scherpe: As a global fashion hub, Paris brings together global fashion trends and related business opportunities. Exhibitors and sellers like Paris very much, they can not only really feel the fashion atmosphere, but also feel the strong business atmosphere. And, for European buyers, Paris has a moderate location and can travel back and forth within a day.
The Autumn Paris Show is the only clothing show that provides a live show for the national pavilion. In September this year, the Tunisian pavilion will bring a live show to showcase the features and technology of its products. In addition, there are many forums and lectures at the exhibition site to provide exhibitors with information on trends and industry trends.
"China Textile": In your opinion, what are the highlights of this exhibition?
Mr.Scherpe: In Europe, there is no exhibition like the Autumn Paris Show, which offers buyers so many choices from Chinese textile companies. Chinese exhibitors have always been a solid force in the show, and buyers are very clear about this. Compared with the same period of last year, the number of exhibitors in September this year increased by 37.5%. This is very beneficial for buyers, buyers can better choose which companies and which products are more suitable for him. Due to the meticulous service, excellent product quality and excellent production technology, Chinese exhibitors have always been very popular among buyers, and the range of Chinese exhibitors processing is also very wide. At this year's show, there are quite a few companies that bring customized products to everyone.
In addition, this year's show is more international, with companies from Guatemala, Morocco, Tunisia and Vietnam joining. More countries and companies will join in a positive, synergistic effect among buyers.
"China Textile": During this decade, how do you understand the development of China's textile and garment industry and enterprises?
Mr.Scherpe: In my opinion, the most obvious change is that the quality of Chinese clothing products made by different styles and fabrics is obviously improved. In addition, Chinese textile and apparel enterprises are more and more flexible in purchasing requirements for buyers. strain.

Mr.Scherpe: I think China's textile and apparel industry is currently and will be the primary partner of Western fashion brands.
