The vegetable tanned leather has beef foot oil, and the ordinary leather can be cleaned as long as it is clean. The skin back is evenly smeared with a thinner CMC. It can also be scraped with a plastic triangle ruler. It can be replaced instead of playing, not a picture. After the maintenance oil and CMC dry out, the initial bonding is started.
Third, bonding
1, there are some leather to do double skin bonding, such as cover, many universal glue can be glued, I use 801 super glue, can also be replaced with white glue.
2, temporary bonding, double-sided adhesive bonding, just to play a role in positioning, the two layers of skin are easy to slide when punching together, tear off after the hole is finished.
Fourth, punching
1. Draw a stitch at the place where the thread is to be stitched to ensure that the punching will not be skewed. (The ball-point pen can't be written with vegetable tanned leather, and the special leather for ordinary leather is painted on the skin. After the hole is finished, remember to wipe the silver handwriting with a cleaning pen.)
2, diamonds - puncher (shopped online shop) have a variety of teeth, beginners only need 6 teeth (or 4 teeth), 2 teeth, 1 tooth (or replace with a diamond cone)
3, the rhododendron must be placed vertically, the tapping force should be even, if the skin is thick, the front and back will not be neat.
5. Sewing and sewing thread, vegetable tanned leather can use leather special wax line, ordinary leather is not recommended to use wax line, too hard, acrylic fiber can be used. The amount of thread is to the appropriate length (probably 3 times the length of the seam + the portion of the hanging line). The needle is threaded at both ends of the line and stitched back and forth.
6. After trimming, check the edges again and make corrections to ensure that the edges are completely consistent.
Seven, a lot of people are most concerned about this thing, in fact, the edge is no need to stick to what material. (Edge sealing is actually to make the work more beautiful.) Apply CMC or leather oil on the correct edge . (CMC is a little thicker, that is, cover the adhesive seam, and it is easy to polish). Be careful not to let these things overflow. After drying, use sandpaper No. 350 to smooth and then apply according to the previous procedure. After drying, use sandpaper No. 800 or above (No. 2000 is also not allowed). Smoothing if it is not leveled, until it is flat. Use wax or smear the edges, polish with a fleece or chopped leather to make a beautiful and perfect edge. Remember that CMC must be dry, otherwise it will be a lot of hair, and the leather edge will be enlarged, it seems It is the same as the rope head.
